    Working Ranch Horse Program

The Working Ranch Horse Program teaches youth techniques in handling livestock. This includes skills in roping, sorting cattle, and fence work.  There are three age divisions: Juniors (3-5 grade), Intermediates (6-8 grade), and Seniors (9-12 grade).  Many counties put on gatherings open to all the working ranch horse youth in the state. To be included on the email list serve add Working Ranch Horse to your project area on 4-H online. Club practice will be held the third Tuesday of every month.

Tests are administered at gatherings and questions are from the following books. All are available from the Box Elder County Extension Office.
